Be EPA Compliant with the Nilfisk GD 930 HEPA Vacuum Cleaner

February 22, 2010

The Nilfisk GD 930 HEPA vacuum eliminates dangerous lead dust during abatement.

Malvern, PA, February 23, 2010—On April 22nd, the EPA’s Lead RRP will go into effect. The new rule requires contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 to be certified and follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.. Among these work practices are the use of a HEPA-filtered industrial vacuum cleaner to minimize dust and thoroughly clean the work area.  Because dust is the most common way lead enters the body, a quality HEPA-filtered vacuum cleaner, like Nilfisk’s GD 930 will guarantee that harmful lead dust is quickly captured and safely contained.

The Nilfisk GD 930 is a durable steel-canister industrial vacuum built for solid performance in abusive environments. Equipped with a multi-stage filtration system; a paper bag, foam filter, and upstream HEPA filter ensure that 99.97% of particles, down to and including 0.3 microns are captured and NOT released back into the environment. Designed with large wheels and a carrying handle, the GD 930 is extremely portable.

The vacuum is also very quiet and can be equipped with an electric power nozzle to insure that embedded paint chips and fine dust are completely removed from the work area.
